The Game

This game is an action-packed shoot'em up with gameplay mechanics reminiscent of the 80s and 90s. We are currently working intensively on the full version, which is expected to be released by the end of 2024. By playing the demo and providing feedback via email or a comment on our download page on itch.io, you can directly support us. 

You control your spaceship, which is equipped with two weapons on its sidewings, the primary and secondary cannon. Additionally, you are protected by up to four wingmen. When you get shot, a wingman explodes in your place and if you have no wingmen left, your ship goes down and you die. However, after a short time you can be revived.

Of course, reviving costs you a revival point and if all points are lost, the game is over. There is a secret super weapon too, the shock bomb, which is ready to use in the demo but need to be activated through playing the Campaign and Level progression.

Controller Support

Apano SYN Fighter is compatible with all types of gamepads. Remember, you can't play this one with a mouse or keyboard. Plus, you can plug in a new gamepad anytime to jump into an ongoing game and team up with your buddy. 

Coming Soon

We've got two demo levels ready for you to try out. Just download the demo and dive in. If you run into any bugs or issues, give us a shout and we'll sort it out. We're also busy crafting the levels for the full release. Get ready for a massive campaign where we'll take the fight to the alien fleet at their home base. Let's do this!

The full Version of the Games comes with Asteroid levels, Bossfights and Coop Modes.

Updates

We intend to regularly update this demo. Upon loading the game menu, we automatically check our website for any newer versions available. We do not track or share any user information, and game analytics are disabled. We encourage you to share your experience with the demo by contacting us via email or commenting on this page.

VR Support

We enjoy playing APANOSYN Fighter in VR, so we've decided to release a VR demo soon.

The Team

The development of the game started in 2022. The initial goal was to create a small shoot'em up ready for release within 1-2 months. However, as soon as we started playing our first demo, we couldn't stop implementing new ideas.
